Chemotherapy and radiotherapy aren’t the only way to kill cancer cells. Essential oils appear to be able to do this, at least under laboratory conditions and in certain concentrations. This leads one to hope that in future patients will be able to use them in treatment instead of having to suffer from the well-known side effects of current treatments.

A study by researchers from China and Germany (Zu Y, Yu H, Liang L, Fu Y, Efferth T, Liu X and Wu N, 20101) on the antibacterial effects of ten essential oils on in vitro toxicology against three human cancer cells was published in the Molecules Journal. It demonstrated that cinnamon, thyme, and rose essential oils had the best antibacterial effect.

So which essential oils will help you fight cancer?

Oils from citrus fruits

Salvestrol Q40

One of these plant compounds extracted from tangerine peel can kill certain human cancer cells, research shows. A team from Leicester School of Pharmacy in Great Britain found Salvestrol Q40 was turned into a compound toxic to cancer cells, destroying them. The researchers suggest the modern trend to throw away the peel may have contributed to a rise in some cancers!! Lead researcher Dr. Hoon Tan said his work was still at an early stage, but together with his colleagues he is further investigating the potential todevelop natural anti-cancer therapies. He said: “It is very exciting to find a compound in food that can target cancers specifically.” Salvestrol 40 is a chemical produced by the plants immune system to repel attackers, such as insects or fungi. It is converted into a toxic compound by an enzyme, found in much higher levels in cancer cells. In other words, cancer cells use the Salvestrol to create their own killer compound! As a result, the researchers found, it proved to be 20 times more toxic to cancer cells than to healthy cells.

Frankincense oil

It exhibits numerous properties which makes it anti-cancerous because of it even in the present day it is the most preferred remedy during cancer. Frankincense oil and cancer have a close link associated with it can be dated back to the pre historian days also as it has the unique property to curb infections, inflammation and improve the immune system. In many cases individuals are still unaware about its cancer fighting potential. With the help of rigorous scientific research it has been confirmed by the University of Leicester in the UK about the added anti-cancerous properties associated with it. Otherwise known as boswellia, frankincense guarantees high nutrient value as it has a special component known as acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid or AKBA. Frankincense oil is considered as the most effective remedy of ovarian cancer. Indeed even the patients who are detected with ovarian cancer in the latter stages are prescribed AKBA found in frankincense oil.

Lavender is excellent for its ability to calm the nervous system and ease stress and anxiety. It also helps improve the quality and depth of sleep.

Lavender has long been used for pain relief, and in recent years has been studied extensively for its inhibitory effects on cancer tumor growth. Other uses for lavender essential oil include its ability to heals burn and skin irritations, relieve allergy symptoms, and as an anti-bacterial, antiseptic, and antifungal.

Good nutrition can have a positive effect on our overall health, but did you know some foods are known for their ability to help prevent cancer?

Here are the best foods to consume for fighting cancer:

In terms of fighting off cancer, cabbage contains many antioxidants, one that is known as sulforaphane that helps to fight the multiplication of cells, and thus prevents cancer cell growth. Cabbage also contains a powerful fermentable bacteria that acts as a probiotic known as Lactobaccilli. Lactobaccilli is one of many powerful disease-fighting types of good bacteria that occurs in several natural foods. Taking care of your gut is crucial to a healthy immune system which fights cancer from the inside out. Cabbage is also an incredibly source of vitamin C, an antioxidant that improves immunity. Cabbage’s vitamin C content increases during the fermentation process because this breaks down the cell walls and makes it easier to digest.

Garlic and onion

Garlic and onion have been found to give a boost to the immune cells that fight pancreas, breast, colorectal, intestinal, and esophagus cancers. The sulfur compounds found in garlic (which gives it its odor and flavor) can also help slow the speed of tumor development. Few clinical trials have focused on the positive effects of garlic on fighting cancer, however several population studies back up the fact that garlic is one of the most powerful common plants to fight cancer.

Onions and other bulbous plants in the same family — namely leeks and chives — have also been shown to reduce the risk of stomach and colon cancer.

Drink green tea

The research on how powerful green tea is at preventing breast cancer is mixed, but one study found that among women under the age of 50, those who consumed three or more cups of green tea per day were 37 percent less likely to develop breast cancer compared to women who didn’t drink tea. Green tea contains a number of antioxidants, and in laboratory studies it’s been shown to slow or completely prevent cancer development in breast cells. Enjoy up to five cups of freshly brewed hot or iced tea, and if you need a sweetener add a splash of 100 percent fruit juice instead of sugar or the artificial stuff.

Raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and other berries are known for great taste and for being loaded with fiber and vitamin C—and for their antioxidant compounds, which are known for protecting and repairing cells damaged by effects of cancer. It is also believed that compounds in berries can boost immunity.
Various berries contain polyphenols, which include the powerful antioxidants ellagic acid and anthocyanins. According to the Stanford Health Improvement Program (HIP) of Stanford University’s Prevention Research Center, “The two most widely studied cancer-fighting compounds in berries are ellagic acid (richest in strawberries and raspberries) and anthocyanosides (richest in blueberries). Ellagic acid is believed to help prevent skin, bladder, lung, and breast cancers, both by acting as an antioxidant and by slowing the reproduction of cancer cells. The anthocyanosides in blueberries are currently the most powerful antioxidants known to scientists and are beneficial in the prevention of all types of cancer.”

Cancer. It’s a word that reverberates deeply in the ears of anyone who hears it. No one wants to think that they might have it, especially when symptoms begin in the body.

The American Cancer Society says that cancer statistics are on the rise, and have been rising every since the 1970’s. Often cancer has only very mild symptoms, and patients usually get diagnosed while being tested for something completely different. The sooner a person gets diagnosed, the better their chances for fast and effective recovery.

Cancer begins on a cellular level, when abnormal cells grow out of control, eventually invading surrounding tissues. Most cancerous cells result from a change in or damage to genes, called a mutation. Cancer cells behave differently from normal cells. These malignant cells do not obey the instructions from the genes and die off, but form a mass of tissue called a tumor, or travel throughout the body through the blood and lymph systems. Not all tumors are cancerous. There is a list of natural remedies that can help you treat the symptoms of cancer:

A number of small studies of smoked marijuana found that it can be helpful in treating nausea and vomiting from cancer chemotherapy. A few studies have found that inhaled (smoked or vaporized) marijuana can be helpful treatment of neuropathic pain (pain caused by damaged nerves). Smoked marijuana has also helped improve food intake in HIV patients in studies. There are no studies in people of the effects of marijuana oil or hemp oil. More recently, scientists reported that THC and other cannabinoids such as CBD slow growth and/or cause death in certain types of cancer cells growing in lab dishes. Some animal studies also suggest certain cannabinoids may slow growth and reduce spread of some forms of cancer.

Korean Ginseng

The roots of this plant have been used for health and longevity for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Now scientists are saying that Korean Ginseng has a huge role to play in the prevention, and possibly treatment, of cancer. One study on Korean men showed that taking Korean Ginseng reduced the risk of multiple types of cancer by up to 40%. The most likely mode of action is that Korean Ginseng enhances the immune system. Laboratory studies have also confirmed that Korean Ginseng directly inhibits the growth of kidney tumors. Some of the chemicals in Ginseng may increase blood pressure, so be careful with this herb if you’re on medication.

The fish known as “oily fish” are undoubtedly the best source of omega 3 fatty acids that exists, and thus are very well-suited to support cardiac health.

They also help protect you from cancer thanks to their antiangiogenic agents. They cut off the blood supply to cancer cells, slowing their growth and making them die of hunger.

Baking Soda

Studies have shown evidence of baking soda being used effectively for the treatment of cancer. However, baking soda is typically used in combination with several other recommendations. There are also variations of recommendations on the use of baking soda for cancer, such as it being administered by mouth or intravenously. One recent study published in the Cancer Research journal, found that sodium bicarbonate increased pH in tumors and reduced cancer metastasis.

Turmeric is a yellow powder that everyone is familiar with. Turmeric or scientifically Curcuma Longa belongs to the Zingiberaceae family.

It is cultivated in India and has been widely used in Indian Ayurvedic medicine and Chinese medicine as a treatment for a variety of diseases.

Turmeric, known for is anti-inflammatory properties and used medicinally for over 4,000 years, is great for arthritis, skin health, immune system, and even cancer. Curcumin is the main active ingredient of the Indian/Asian curry spice Turmeric.  To put this technically, curcumin is the principal curcuminoid in turmeric.  Curcuminoids are polyphenols.  Turmeric powder is ground from the root of a plant called Curcuma Longa, which is a member of the ginger family and is found throughout Southern Asia, even growing wild in the Himalayas.

Black pepper, derived from black peppercorns, has its own set of health benefits to offer. These include enhancing digestion, regulating nerve signals, fighting cancer, boosting metabolism, and controlling obesity. The effect of piperine from pepper was examined on the bioavailability of turmeric’s curcumin in rats and healthy human volunteers. The study concluded that piperine enhances the serum concentration, extent of absorption, and bioavailability of curcumin in both rats and humans.

As a staple in Mediterranean-based lifestyles and in many kitchen pantries, olive oil is well known for its versatility, flavor, and healthful properties. When it comes to all of those health benefits we hear about olive oil, most apply to extra virgin olive oil. This extra virgin classification is when oil is mechanically pressed from the olives without any heat or chemicals applied.

Extra virgin olive oil is rich in antioxidants. Specifically it has a large number of (and large variety of) polyphenols, which function as antioxidants in the body, and may also have anti-inflammatory benefits as well.

It’s really unique that extra virgin olive oil can provide some anti-inflammatory benefits, because most fats tend to create more inflammation in the body. Those same antioxidant polyphenols are the same ones that have awesome anti-inflammatory benefits.

Many studies have also shown that populations that consume diets rich in olive oil (like the Mediterranean diet) have lowered risk of upper digestive tract cancers, including stomach and small intestine. In fact, populations that consume frequent amounts of olive oil have shown to have lower incidence of certain types of cancer.

So when you combine all of these ingredients together you get a really powerful remedy that can be used to combat cancer. All you need is:

  • 1/4 tsp. turmeric;

  • Half tsp. olive oil;

  • Pinch of freshly ground black pepper;

Mix all the ingredient in a small bowl until they all blend together. Add the mixture to soup or salad or simply whisk in a little water and drink it straight. Take once every day before a meal.

It also can be added to different dishes: salads, smoothies, curries, rice or soup. Experiment with what tastes better for you. As turmeric is a fairly new discovery for cancer treatment, more research needs to be done before it becomes a widely accepted treatment option. Nonetheless, several researchers have found promising data to support this claim.

The American Cancer Society mentions a study that found that curcumin can kill cancer cells in isolation in laboratory dishes. So try out this remedy and enjoy every benefit that it brings.

A pit detox is a real phenomenon that some may experience.

If you’re used to conventional deodorant or antiperspirant, the switch to a natural product can bring about redness and itching in the armpits. You may also notice increased odor. This makes sense because conventional deodorants and antiperspirants have been clogging your sweat pores and preventing sweat and toxins from being released. One of the things they don’t tell you about conventional deodorants is that they interfere with your body’s natural process to remove bacteria. Not to mention the whole connection to breast cancer thing. So, when you switch to an all-natural deodorant, which doesn’t use anti-perspirants or other chemicals, your body will need some time to detox. Once you’re all detoxed up, your body will naturally correct the bacterial imbalance in your armpits, and your sweat won’t smell nearly as bad!

The body odor that is emitted is caused by bacteria living in the moist areas of your skin reacting to perspiration. These bacteria feed on the substances in your sweat, like fatty acids, creating an odor. Your diet can also play a role in what odors are released with your sweat.

Now that your sweat pores are no longer obstructed by chemical-laden particles, you’re free to release moisture and toxins, and any subsequent odors, as intended.

In some instances, bumps may appear and the lymph nodes located under the armpits may swell during this detoxification phase. And don’t be surprised if this happens in just one pit.

Many breast cancers develop close to the armpit area, which raises concerns about the products that we use daily on our skin in this area of the body. Rather than being fearful of the deodorant, lotion, sunscreen or fragrance products that you use, become educated about their ingredients and learn what to avoid the next time you need these items.

Although our skin care and hygiene products are tested for safety, more people are choosing to avoid ingredients that are even remotely associated with cancer. Applying products like deodorant, sunscreen, and body spray to the thin skin of the armpit could provide a way for harmful chemicals to get to the estrogen receptors under our skin.

Cancer can happen in almost every organ and tissue in the human body. Genetic mutations or cellular damage cause changes to our cells which makes them multiply abnormally in tissues and form tumors.

How to make the armpit detox:

  1. 1 tablespoon Bentonite Clay

  2. 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

  1. 3 drops Rosemary essential oil

  • Mix the ingredients together with some water to make a paste.
  • Apply a thin layer to your armpits and leave for fifteen minutes before rinsing off in the shower and drying thoroughly.
  • Continue doing this until your body odor has regulated or until you are able to use a natural deodorant with no reaction.

It’s important not to use conventional aluminum-based deodorants during this time, so only use natural deodorant if you need to.

Dandelion is an herb. People use the above ground parts and root to make medicine.
Dandelion is used for many conditions, but so far, there isn’t enough scientific evidence to determine whether or not it is effective for any of them.

Dandelion is used for loss of appetite, upset stomach, intestinal gas, gallstonesjoint pain, muscle aches, eczema, and bruises. Dandelion is also used to increase urine production and as a laxative to increase bowel movements. It is also used as skin toner, blood tonic, and digestive tonic. Some people use dandelion to treat infection, especially viral infections, and cancer.

In foods, dandelion is used as salad greens, and in soups, wine, and teas. The roasted root is used as a coffee substitute.

Powerful Antioxidant, Resistant to Swelling

Dandelion contains chemicals whose biological activities are actively being explored for roles in human health. In particular, evidence suggests that dandelion contains antioxidant and redness-resistant compounds.

One study investigated the antioxidative effects of dandelion root in rabbits fed a high-cholesterol diet. Results showed that dandelion positively affected antioxidant enzyme activities and lipid profiles. Researchers believe this suggests dandelion could protect against oxidative stress related to certain circulatory disorders.

Cancer is one of the most common diseases in the world. Between 1 in 3 and 1 in 4 people in developed countries will suffer from this illness at some stage. Given the devastating effect cancer has on sufferers and their loved ones, any new potential treatment is a cause of much excitement. Recently, scientists have examined the potential power of the humble dandelion in fighting cancer by investigating its ability to directly kill cancer cells. It appears that extract of dandelion root may have the ability to trigger cancer cells to kill themselves without causing damage to the surrounding healthy cells and tissues.

Interest in the curative properties of dandelion root began when John DiCarlo, 72, told his doctor that he cured his cancer by drinking dandelion tea. Dicarlo had been admitted to a hospital three years ago with leukemia. His disease did not respond to aggressive treatment and he was sent home to live out his life surrounded by his family.

How to get started

If you would like to try this natural remedy, it’s easy to get started. You can pick up ready-to-go teabags at your local health food store, or you can make your own preparation. Make sure that you harvest a dandelion root from a field that hasn’t been treated with pesticides or other harsh chemicals – it’s best if you look on your own land, so you know what has and has not been used. Dig up the entire root with a sharp spade. Wash it thoroughly with cold water. Chop it finely in a food processor and then dry-roast the resulting product, spread out on a tray, near the top of a hot oven. You should then have dandelion root flakes that can be stewed in hot water to make a delicious, highly nutritious drink that may prevent cancer.

Health benefits of baking soda include reduced risk and prevention of diarrhea, metabolic acidosis, acidity, peptic ulcer, and drug intoxification. It has antipruritic properties which helps in maintaining healthy skin. It is effective home remedy in cold and flu and plaque removal. It is a good source of sodium prevents hyperkalemia, bladder infection and kidney stones.

It has antimicrobial properties which may protect body and feet from infections. Usage of baking soda is not just limited to health, it is used in cooking and cleaning.

Baking soda also known as sodium bicarbonate or sodium hydrogen carbonate is commonly used and found in almost every household. It is odorless, salty in taste and available as a white powder. It has various uses such as cooking, medical uses etc.

Nutritional value of baking soda: As per USDA baking soda contains water and sodium. It has no calories, fat and carbohydrates.

For decades, coconut oil was considered an unhealthy fat that clogged arteries and caused heart disease.

Now coconut oil is being hailed as a superfood that can cure everything from Alzheimer’s to tooth decay.

Why the flip-flop on the health benefits of coconut oil?

And does it live up to its reputation as the latest cure-all?

Coconut trees are found around the world in the tropics and subtropics.

This versatile palm, Cocos nucifera, is the “Swiss Army knife” of the plant kingdom.

Virtually every part of the coconut tree has an important use.  coconut water, oil, and meat have been used for nourishment. Coconut husk and fronds are used to make everything from rope to roofs. Coconut oil has been used to promote health as part of India’s ancient Ayurvedic healing tradition. It’s been used for beautiful and healthy skin and hair as well.

It is quite surprising fact that some every day’s kitchen ingredients could be used in healing some diseases.
This time it is about how can coconut oil and baking soda cure skin cancer.
Here follows a short story about Ms. Azizo and the way she succeeded at her fight against this harmful disease.
Ms. Kyrenet Azizo is a great supporter of treatment of diseases with natural healthy remedies.
She treated the skin cancer known as basal cell carcinoma which appeared at her mother’s head.
She used her great knowledge and experience of natural medicine at the treatment of this non-life threatening skin cancer.
Ms. Azizo’s mother suffered carcinoma growing at the crown of her head.
She was treated with modern surgery methods which removed the carcinoma and she was hoping the best. She used coconut oil instead of water since this oil possesses extra strong regeneration efficiency. Kyrenet mixed one part of baking soda with one part of coconut oil (a teaspoon of each) and she mixed them by adding warm water until she got a thick paste. She treated the carcinoma directly using this paste. Since the first couple of treatments, there were visible positive results. It is recommended not to rub the carcinoma just to apply the healing mixture on it and to leave it there as long as possible.  You can use a shower cap to keep the remedy safe and dry.

Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled growth and spread of abnormal cells. There are over 100 types of cancer. And any part of the body can be affected. Tobacco use is the single largest preventable cause of cancer in the world causing 22% of cancer deaths. The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2013 174,100 cancer deaths will be caused by tobacco use. Encourage your loved ones to quit smoking. In 2012 there were approximately 13.7 million Americans with a history of cancer alive. Over 2 million skin cancers are diagnosed every year – many of those could be prevented by taking necessary precautions. (I.e. protecting skin from excessive sun exposure and avoiding indoor tanning.)Anyone can develop cancer, however, the risk of getting it increases with age. Most cases occur in middle-aged adults or older. About 77% of all cancers are diagnosed in people 55-years or older.

Since we began recording cancer statistics, these rates have risen steadily, and more people are starting to ask questions and observe the environment we choose to surround ourselves with on a daily basis. And new research is emerging every day that calls into question the only two approved treatments for cancer — radiation and chemotherapy. It seems we are approaching a time when the medical community will be forced to consider new options for cancer treatment. After all, scientists have discovered that chemotherapy fuels cancer growth and kills the patient more quickly than if they had gone without, yet nothing has been changed.

Now, however, a little-known Chinese herb might soon be eligible for the growing list of alternative cancer treatments. According to studies published in Life Sciences, Cancer Letters, and Anticancer Drugsartemesinin, a derivative of the wormwood plant commonly used in Chinese medicine, can kill off cancer cells and do it at a rate of 12,000 cancer cells for every healthy cell.

Artemisinin (ART) is a plant-derived compound, isolated from the Artemisia annua, sweet wormwood a herb employed in Chinese herbal medicine. Sweet wormwood is predominantly a Chinese herb, used for over a thousand years for treatment of a large variety of conditions including malaria. It has also been used to treat wound and skin diseases, and has been recorded as far back as 200 BC as a component of Chinese prescriptions for specific illnesses.

Although the origins of sweet wormwood are in Asia however, it is now grown throughout the temperate regions of the world, and reaches its best in midsummer. Although best known today for its use in treating malaria, its medical uses include treating bronchitis, fevers and general feelings of malaise. It is primarily grown now for the supplement industry and as a non-prescriptive natural cure for malaria. It is a common and favorite herb for Chinese herbalists and sold both in the herbal form and as the extracted artemisinin.

Artemisinin contains two oxygen atoms hooked together that break down in the presence of iron, by creating very reactive free radicals that kill malaria parasites and cancer cells. Both cancer cells and malaria parasites sequester iron, accumulating as much as 1000 times what normal cells store. Giving artemisinin to people with malaria or cancer results in destruction of these abnormal cells and leaves normal cells unaffected. Artemisinin is a cancer bomb!
