One of the most common and one of the deadliest habits among people is smoking. There are more than 16 million people who have a huge problem with their health, because of smoking and this number applies only in the USA. People who smoke even know that it is bad and want to quit, while others who smoke live by the “you only live once” philosophy.

Because the chemicals in cigarettes are so toxic, smoking remains the leading cause of lung cancer. Smoking can even increase one’s risk of developing asthma or bronchitis. Even if a person quits smoking, he/she can suffer the effects of the harmful chemicals. Our lungs make up a large part of our immune system, to help filter pollutants and infection-causing microbes, and capture them with mucus in the lungs and shuttled upward by tiny cilia for us to cough out or swallow.  The lungs are remarkable, and should be cared for. You should know that if you smoke, smoking destroys the cilia that help remove infection and pollutants, which results in clogged airways.

Lung cleansing not only helps in detoxifying the pulmonary system, but also balances blood pressure, improves digestion and strengthens the body immunity system. Natural lung cleanse is very simple to follow. Simply breathing fresh air can help cleaning your lungs. If you are cooped up indoors, either at home or at your workplace, get out and get a dose of fresh air. If working in a dusty and polluted environment is unavoidable, try making frequent trips to a nearby place where you can breathe relatively clean air.

Natural remedies were still the best alternatives in treating and preventing numerous types of diseases. Aside from being an effective remedy, it is also quite affordable compared to expensive medications in some hospitals.

This natural remedy contains anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. It can also prevent any types of cancers because it contains antioxidants, which fights free radicals that can cause harm to the body.

Ingredients:

  • 400 g (14 oz) onion

  • 1 l (34 oz) water

  • 400 g (14 oz) sugar

  • 2 tbsp turmeric

  • ginger, a thumb-sized piece

Cook the water and sugar together. Add the onion cut in quarters and shredded ginger root. Add the turmeric once the mixture boils, and reduce the heat to low. Cook until the mixture reduces by half, strain and keep it in a jar. Once it cools completely store it in your fridge. Take two tablespoons in the morning before you eat or drink anything and in the evening, two hours after your dinner.

Ginger spice has anti-inflamatory properties and promotes the elimination of pollutants from the lungs. Onion is great for the heart as well the lungs, and it reduces inflammation, lowers cholesterol, and fights infections.  Turmeric is a spice from India that is widely known for its vibrant gold color. It’s also praised for its health benefits, as many as 600 of them! It’s high in minerals and vitamins and has anticancer, antibacterial and antiviral properties.

No one wakes up feeling amazing. Mornings are characterized by sluggishness and fatigue. If you’re unlucky, the condition might persist throughout the day. Some people turn to energy drinks or non-natural remedies and end up feeling worse than they did originally.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar  has a long list of uses, especially for those who prefer to use natural remedies. Not all apple cider vinegar is created equal, so make sure you buy the organic, raw, unfiltered kind. The nutritional benefits haven’t been filtered out, so the unfiltered particles will provide your body with the most benefits. Apple cider vinegar contains bacteria known as acetobacter. This is a “friendly” bacteria that breaks down food in the gut.

The antibiotic properties of apple cider vinegar can help improve the acid content in the stomach, reducing heartburn and acid reflux. There are several antioxidants in apple cider vinegar that work to keep the body healthy, including catechin, gallic acid, caffeic and chlorogenic acids. The acetic acid in apple cider vinegar can even increase the body’s absorption of important minerals from the food you eat to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your leafy greens!

Honey

Honey’s use as a soothing agent goes back a long way in human history. The ancient Egyptians used it to dress wounds—it contains agents that help fight off infections. It’s also used as a contemporary at-home cure for sore throats. However, there are additional, less-known health benefits attributable to honey.

Honey contains natural carbohydrates and sugars that can be absorbed quickly by the body. Drinking it first thing in the morning gives you the boost you need to start the day off right. Honey also supports the immune system. Its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties inhibit the development of viruses and bacteria. When you’re buying honey, go for the organic honey.

The combination of acv and honey is perfect in the fight and prevention of infections thanks to its active compounds. In the same time it is great for the overall health and wellbeing of your organism because it kills bacteria which cause inflammations, infections and various diseases and many more benefits.

Proper liver function is absolutely essential for a healthy body and improved digestion. The liver processes the blood from the digestive tract, removing toxins and other impurities before the blood cycles out to the rest of the body. The liver also produces bile, which is stored in the gallbladder (which rests under the liver) and is essential for fat digestion. The two organs are jointly responsible for a well-balanced healthy body. Liver problems can lead to a variety of unpleasant symptoms. You may start to notice one or more of the symptoms below if your liver becomes toxic, fibrous, fatty, or scarred. Symptoms of an unhealthy liver include:

  • Running out of energy in the afternoon
  • Inability to lose weight
  • Mood swings
  • Bursts of anger, mood disorders, or anxiety
  • Bloating and gas
  • Occasional headaches
  • Brain Fog and lack of mental clarity
  • Muscle aches and stiffness
  • Bad breath or body odor
  • Brown spots on your skin or age spots
  • Bruising easily
  • Jaundice, or skin and eyes that take on a yellow color
  • Dark urine
  • Pale-colored stool or bloody/tar-colored stool
  • Constantly itchy skin
  • Abdominal pain and swelling
  • Poor digestion
  • Nausea
  • Chronic fatigue

Another common problem is fatty liver disease, which often develops from the overindulgence or long-term use of alcohol. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease also exists, and can be brought on by certain medications, malnutrition, or other causes. One concern with fatty liver disease is that vague symptoms (generalized fatigue, weakness, nausea, confusion, impaired judgment, and loss of appetite) can build up for years before liver damage is implicated as the cause.

“Detoxification” is more accurately defined as the mobilization and elimination of waste, toxins, pathogens, and other unwanted debris from your body.

Health Benefits Of Turmeric

Turmeric is not only what makes mustard and curries yellow, but it’s an incredibly powerful nutritional supplement.

The Indian spice has chemical compounds called curcuminoids, of which curcumin is the most beneficial. Curcumin is an anti-inflammatory agent (helpful for arthritis among many other conditions) and an antioxidant. It also helps the body to absorb other antioxidants.

Curcumin has also been linked to delaying or reversing brain diseases in rats and improves the ability of the lining of the blood vessels to function properly or endothelial function, therefore, it’s been thought to reverse cardiovascular disease.

Here is a simple recipe on how to make this easy detox drink:

Ingredients

  • 1/4 – 1/2 tsp of turmeric
