Hair is very important for our looks. Therefore, we spend so much of efforts, time, and money on finding the most suitable hairstyle for your face. However, we also have to face to face with many hair problems such as hair loss, excess oil or dry scalp, etc. There are many ways of making your hair grow faster at home by utilizing natural ingredients including herbs, vegetable & fruit mixture, and other ingredients
Castor oil is obtained by pressing the seeds of the Castor plant known as Ricinus Communis. This vegetable oil has been a long time natural remedy for many skin conditions and ailments, the most well known being as a natural laxative. Native to Africa and India it can also be found in the Mediterranean basin. Pale yellow in colour it is a thick, almost sticky consistency and due to its lubricating properties and high viscosity Castor oil has also found much use for industrial purposes. Add to that its uses in soaps, paints, dyes, inks, nylon, waxes, plastics to name a few, and you have a seriously versatile and in demand product.
Hair masks are treatments that help your hair to recover from damage. Unlike conditioners which sit on your hair, hair masks go deep within the cuticles to repair damaged hair, moisturize dry hair, stimulate hair growth, prevent dandruff, and treat infections.
Here is a recipe for a simple castor oil mask:
- At first, you combine castor oil with base oil at an equal ratio to get a consistent mixture.
- Then you rub it on the scalp and massage gently.
- You leave it on for about 30 to 45 minutes and then rinse it off with the mild shampoo.
- To get a better effect, you should mix 4 drops of rosemary oil in 1 ounce of castor oil and apply it on your scalp and hair.
You can also combine 5 teaspoons of castor oil with 5 tablespoons of coconut oil and apply the mixture to you scalp, throughout your hair and on your lashes and brows. Leave the mixture for the night and wash it off the next day.
Castor oil also has a lot of other beneficial properties like:
Treat fungal infections
The Undecylenic acid in castor gives it strong anti-fungal properties making it an excellent treatment for athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ring worm.
Castor Oil has a large amount of Omega-3 fatty acids. These help to hydrate the skin and stimulate healthy tissue growth so well that Castor oil can be used to treat spots and uneven skin tones.
This isn’t some sort of miracle cure but just some good common sense. Stretch marks come from the skin stretching beyond its capabilities over a very short period of time. If the skin is more elastic, the resulting stretch marks will be minimized. So by applying Castor Oil (as well as other hydrating oils such as Avocado Oil) the skin will become hydrated by the fatty acids, and make the skin more elastic.
