No one likes creases – may it be clothes or face. When we say creases on the face, we mean those unattractive wrinkles. Once your skin loses its natural moisture and elasticity, wrinkles begin to appear. In fact, they are one of the clear signs that you are aging.

Wrinkles are a common problem that most people suffer from once they start ageing. When we reach a certain age the collagen & elastin fibres in the skin usually starts to get depleted and wrinkles appear which makes the skin look old. Wrinkles mainly occur on the face, forehead, neck, under or sides of the eyes, lips and even on the hands. Proper care of the skin is absolutely essential to get a wrinkle free skin.

Though this is a natural process, there are certain things that can worsen the condition. These usually include:

  • Exposing yourself to UV rays
  • Unhealthy diet
  • Not being hydrated
  • Smoking
  • Stress
  • Lack of vitamin E
  • Drugs
  • Pollution

However there are some natural remedies that you can prepare to slow the aging process down and smooth out the wrinkles:

Lemon, beer and rose water toner

2 lemons

16 ounces of beer

16 ounces of rose water

Mix the lemon juice, beer and rose water and use a cotton pad to apply this as a toner.

Papaya-banana mask

Papaya has certain enzymes that remove your dead skin cells to give place to new ones. Banana, on the other hand, is loaded with beneficial nutrients that help in producing new skin cells. Therefore, while you can get rid of old sagging skin, you will generate new younger looking skin at the same time. This mask is particularly effective for men.

Mash the papaya pieces and banana pieces. Mix them well. Apply on skin. Leave for 20 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water.

Egg whites

Whip up several egg whites in a small bowl. Massage onto your skin, allowing to sit and dry at least 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and let the natural B vitamins and rich Vitamin E work their rejuvenating magic.

Olive oil

Natural olive oil can help your skin stay soft and supple. Gently massage a few drops on your face before bedtime and rinse with a soft towel. You’ll wake to skin that’s soft and healthy looking.

Coconut oil

Organic coconut oil

Massage coconut oil under the eyes and other affected areas for a few minutes. Use gentle circular motions. Leave the oil on overnight.

Coconut oil will give your skin a natural glow and radiance. Using it often will help to fade wrinkles and lines as coconut oil is moisturizing and hydrating for the skin. It restores the skin’s elasticity to a great extent

Rich in vitamin C, pineapple contains an enzyme called bromelain, which acts as an anti-inflammatory to treat wrinkles on your skin. Also, it has some natural astringent properties that help in exfoliation. The remedy is quite simple to apply:

Take few pieces of fresh pineapple. Extract its juice. Apply it on your eye wrinkles. Leave it for a while. Wash off with warm water.
